GTABS is currently providing construction management services for the Virginia Rail Enhancement Project.  The Rail Enhancement Fund was advanced by Governor Warner with bipartisan support and passed the 2005 General Assembly to provide $23 million in annual, dedicated funding for passenger or freight rail improvements in Virginia. The primary goals of the project are to promote congestion relief, encourage economic development, enhance the competitiveness of Virginia ports, and facilitate safety, health and environmental benefits.

I-26 Corridor Upgrade for CSX
GTABS is currently providing surveys, preliminary engineering, construction management and project management services for the I-26 Corridor Switch and Rail Upgrade project.  CSX Transportation has appropriated approximately $14.4 million to upgrade track and signal infrastructure in the Sea Board region along Interstate-26 spanning North Carolina, South Carolina and portions of Georgia.

North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) / CSX / Norfolk Southern Interlocking Upgrade
GTABS is currently providing preliminary engineering and construction management services for the NCDOT funded Interlocking Upgrade between CSX and Norfolk Southern.  The project entails the collaboration between North Carolina Railroad (NCRR), GTABS, Norfolk Southern (NS) and CSX Transportation, the teams are upgrading existing rail corridors to improve safety, efficiency and capacity for freight and passenger train services. NCCR estimates the project value at $142.65 million and will be underway until 2013.
